EqualiTEA photoThe Office of Councilman Adrin Nazarian along with his CD2 Women’s Advisory Committee, the United Nations Association SFV Chapter, the American Association of University Women, The National Organization for Women and NCVV brought together women from across Los Angeles to mark the 106th anniversary of the 19th amendment to the US Constitution, which gave women the right to vote. Ratified in 1919, the landmark amendment was the culmination of more than 70 years of work that began in the mid-1800s and was led by leaders like Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony.

The large group of women who joined the event enjoyed tea, cakes and sandwiches and heard comments from The Councilman, US Representative Luz Rivas, NOW President Camarina PS Davidson and more.
