Take the Los Angeles Youth Survey

The City of Los Angeles has launched the 2026 Los Angeles Youth Survey to better understand what young people in Los Angeles need, experience, and want City leaders to know. The survey asks about youth opportunities, jobs and career goals, education, mental health, safety, basic needs, transportation, and how young people want to be heard by the City.

Laurel Canyon Cleaned Up

What a morning in Valley Village! More than 30 members of our community came together on Saturday to clean up the gateway to Valley Village, Laurel Canyon Blvd. Alongside our neighbors, Councilmember Adrin Nazarian and his team, EmpowerLA, the Valley Village Residents Association, and the LA Conservation Corps (LACC), we spent the morning picking up litter, sweeping sidewalks, and connecting with each other. Thank you to everyone who showed up to care for our community.

All fireworks are illegal in Los Angeles including sparklers, firecrackers, bottle rockets, aerial fireworks, safe and sane fireworks. Using them can cost you more than a fine, it can cost you a hand, a home and a life. Don't light fireworks and don't be next.

North Hollywood High Honors Oscar Winner John Williams

The massive state-of-the-art complex will provide students with performance space for music, theater and dance. Neighborhood Council Valley Village Board members were part of the day’s festivities as they presented the bronze marker that will be mounted outside of Kennedy Hall, recognizing the 15 Coastal Live Oaks that are now protected as City of Los Angeles Historic Cultural Monument #1239.
