Neighbors joined together on April 15 at Valley Village Park to recognize Earth Day 2023. NCVV was happy to sponsor our annual “shredding event” to help lower the amount of paper that goes into LA City landfills. Well over 100 people dropped off paper and personal documents that were securely and safely shredded. Participants also were able to pick up a free composting bin for their kitchen. The bins were provided by the office of Paul Krekorian. And the day also helped address food insecurity in our community as many crates of food were donated to support the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry. Senior Lead Officer Rob Benevides also stopped by to visit with Valley Village residents.
The next NCVV sponsored event is Coffee With A Cop to be held in the Gelson’s Valley Village parking lot, Saturday May 13, 9:30 am – 11:00 am.
