On December 9, 2023 hundreds of neighbors, families, friends and Valley Village businesses joined together to celebrate Light Up Valley Village and kick off the holiday season. Everyone enjoyed lots of free pizza from Joe Peeps, and other great food from Harvest Moon and Rustic Spoon. Coffee and hot chocolate from Marie et Cie kept everyone in the holiday spirit. Local businesses were open for holiday shopping while the kids got to spend a few minutes with Santa, taking home a keepsake photo from Valley Photo.
The event was also an opportunity to help others during the holiday season. NCVV’s student Board sponsored their annual food and toy drive, which wrapped up three days of collecting donations at the event. In total the Student Committee raised more than $2,000 in donations and collected hundreds of toys and bags of food.
NCVV’s Board wishes to thank the office of Councilman Paul Krekorian and field deputy Jeff Camp for their support of the event, and the city’s Department of Transportation and Valley Traffic for providing safety officers at the event. Light Up Valley Village is an annual holiday event that has been celebrated in Valley Village since 2010, and is made possible through the financial support of NCVV’s Board.
