Coffee with a Cop

In partnership with Gelson’s Markets, Valley Village Senior Lead Officer Rob Benevidez, North Hollywood Division Captain Marco Lozano, LAPD officers Chris London and Enzo Averaimo, City Councilman Paul Krekorian and State Assembly member Adrin Nazarian, your Neighborhood Council Valley Village Board hosted “Coffee With A Cop”, a popular opportunity for neighbors to meet face to face with those who serve and protect our families and friends.

Sponsored by Gelson’s, a record number of Valley Village stakeholders mingled among police officers and elected officials, and picked up important information about emergency preparedness. “This is a chance for NCVV’s Board to remind our neighbors that the next natural or manmade disaster is not “if” – – but “when” – – and we need to be prepared now” said NCVV Emergency Preparedness Chair Paulette Stokes.

City Council District 2 Field Deputy Jeff Camp praised the NCVV Board and event volunteers for helping connect police officers and Valley Village residents. “It is great for all of us to have this chance to hear directly from the community about their priorities, and what quality of life issues are important to them.”

The event was coordinated by NCVV’s City Services Committee chaired by Suzanne Lewis. NCVV Board Member and Student Committee Chair Carol Convey thanked Gelson’s for their enthusiastic involvement. “We are very grateful that Gelson’s allowed us to host this event in their parking lot, providing snacks and refreshments for all who joined us today.”
