The meeting featured comments from Mayor Bass, stressing the importance of arts in a strong, vibrant city, and spoke to her commitment to supporting organizations and groups that promote opportunities in the arts.

On Saturday April 19 NCVV's Board celebrated Earth Day with a shredding event, free trees, and an opportunity to donate food for those in need. NCVV Board members, neighbors and other stakeholders joined City Councilman Adrin Nazarian, US Congresswoman Luz Rivas, State Assemblymember Nick Schulz and Senior Lead Officer Rob Benavidez as hundreds dropped off documents for shredding, adopted trees and donated food to the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry.
