NCVV’s Board of Directors and Student Committee are now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 Student Committee. This group of exceptional young women and men help keep our full Board in touch with thoughts and concerns of young people in our community. NCVV was among the very first Boards to allow teenagers to be part of our governance structure, and since 2008 almost 50 high school students have participated in NCVV’s Board activities.
WE WANT YOU! If you are a rising senior or junior and want a real-time hands on lesson in civics and governance we have a spot for you. Complete the below application and return to our Student Committee Chair Ms. Carol Convey, and we’ll set up an interview for you. Anyone interested can join our June Student Committee meeting to see what we do. Meeting are held monthly, last no more than 1 hour, and full Board meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Our student committee manages the Holiday Food and Toy Drive, helps to support other NCVV outreach events like National Night Out, Light Up Valley Village and Earth Day. We also lean heavily on our Students to help us ensure that the voice of our young people is part of all conversations and activities to make Valley Village the best community in the City of Los Angeles.
