More than three hundred residents joined Los Angeles Public Safety leaders including LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell, LA County Sheriff Robert Luna, North Hollywood PD Captain Warner Castillo and Senior Lead Officer Kurtis Delbar to celebrate National Night Out 2026 in Valley Village Park.

Joining the festivities were Los Angeles City Councilman Adrin Nazarian and State Assembly member Nick Shulz. LAPD’s Mobile Command Unit and several LAPD fire response vehicles were on site for everyone to tour. Participants were entertained by calypso sounds from the Jimmy Dale Band while they visited representatives from many neighborhood businesses and organizations including Starbucks, Target, the office of Council District 2 and North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry.

This is the 22nd National Night Out celebration sponsored by NCVV. It is an annual opportunity for neighbors and public safety officials to join together and raise awareness of public safety and crime prevention across the community.
