Well over 200 stakeholders enjoyed cooling temperatures in Valley Village Park to mark the 40th Anniversary of National Night Out. Participants dined on sandwiches and cold drinks while listening to the music of Jimmy Dale and his band.
Senior Lead Officer Rob Benevidez, former State Assemblymember and City Council Candidate Adrin Nazarian joined United States Representative Tony Cardenas in welcoming neighbors to the 15th year of the NCVV hosted event. “This is a great opportunity to bring the community out to recognize LAPD and all they do to keep our neighborhood safe” said Suzanne Lewis, Co-Chair of NCVV’s Events and Outreach Committee. Information tables provided updates to event participants from organizations including Valley Village Neighborhood Patrol, CERT, the Office of Council President Paul Krekorian and North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry, who collected food for those in need the southeast San Fernando Valley.
