NNO 2025
Hundreds of neighbors came together in Valley Village Park to celebrate the 41st National Night Out. This was NCVV’s NNO 20th event, and everyone who joined the cool breezes and smooth sounds of the Jimmy Dale Band had the opportunity to recognize the importance of community in times of trouble and need.

“When a tragic event occurs like an earthquake or fire, you will need your neighbors to help you and tonight helps bring those relationships together” said Los Angeles City Councilman Adrin Nazarian. United States Congresswoman Luz Rivas added “Your neighbors are your strength in any natural or man made disaster. Tonight we celebrate those friendships!”

Families who joined the event were able to make contributions to the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry, learn about mobile security patrols in Valley Village, witness food delivery vehicles first hand, sign up for CERT training, and meet officers from the North Hollywood Police Department. LAPD Captain Greg Morgan spoke about “the important role neighbors play in helping to fight crime and keep the community safe.”

More than $500 in prizes were awarded in free raffles. More than 250 meals were served and countless memories were formed. Thank you to returning sponsor Target for gift boxes and backpacks.

To wrap up the evening, Board member and former Vice President Ginny Hatfield led a police escorted walk through the neighborhood to recognize the role our community plays in crime prevention.
