The Department of Water and Power (DWP) issued a statement at 4:36pm that about 15% of homes/business power has been restored. They are working to complete repairs to the substation and have advised that most power will be restored by tonight. They did not give us an estimated time but said in an earlier statement that they hoped to have power restored by 10pm.
We will continue to monitor this and provide updates to our stakeholders. There are two Cooling Stations that are close to our stakeholders. Both are located in North Hollywood Park, just across the freeway. The Amelia Earhart Library will be open until 8pm tonight, and the NoHo Park and Rec Center will be open until 9pm.
