Sign up to participate in the 2026 Homeless Count
Help the city document the homeless in Los Angeles by joining the 2026 Homeless Count. This year Valley Village will have our own dedicated deployment led by CD2’s Ben Kwok. Join your NCVV Board members and help us document the number of unhoused persons in the Valley Village area.
Joining is simple and the count takes about 1-2 hours. To be part of a team arrive at Oakwood School (11605 Magnolia Blvd) at 6:45 Tuesday January 20. At 7:00 teams will leave by car and drive around predetermined routes and visually document homeless encampments. Participants do not leave their vehicle and all teams are paired with drivers and counters. Teams return around 8:00 pm to hand over the tabulations and check-out.
The annual Homeless Count is an important tool to help the city gauge effectiveness of outreach programs and resources directed to helping the unhoused. To register to be part of a Homeless Count team visit https://count.lahsa.org/pages/volunteer-registration. Your participation helps to make our community better for everyone – we hope you will join us on Tuesday January 20 at Oakwood School.
