DESCRIPTION:The Community Plan Update Committee of the NCVV Board will meet on Monday June 3 at Faith Presbyterian Church. At Monday’s meeting the Los Angeles Department of City Planning will present feedback from the public forums hosted in fall of 2018\, data that will help to shape the next iteration of the North Hollywood Valley Village Community Plan. This important set of guidelines will govern development in our area for the next 10 years \nAs you may recall over 100 Valley Village stakeholders packed the first meeting at North Hollywood Library and participated in group discussions about preserving character and sense of community in future development. In addition to the original meeting\, NCVV’s Community Plan Update Committee helped collect over 250 additional surveys that were submitted to the Planning Department. \nThe impact of this outstanding public input has given important guidance to the Planning Department. DESCRIPTION:Activities are planned for everyone. Adorable animals will be available for adoption all day\, and your current furry family members can participate in a Blessing of the Pets. The annual pumpkin patch will be open starting at 10 am\, and other fun events including Square Dancing and food trucks are planned throughout the day. Activities will culminate with an outdoor big screen movie at 7pm – a 25th anniversary screening of “Hocus Pocus” starring Bette Midler. We’ll see you Saturday.
