Be an NCVV Board Member!

There are currently two vacancies on the NCVV Board, the Education Representative and the Cultural Representative. The Education position represents the learning community in Valley Village, and a candidate must live in the boundaries of Valley Village or must have a verifiable affiliation with a school or college, be a teacher or headmaster, or a parent of a child who attends school in Valley Village. The Cultural Position represents the arts community, and that candidate should be someone who either lives in Valley Village and works in the arts/movie industry, or works in an affiliated business that is physically located in Valley Village.

Board members are required to attend monthly Board meetings, 6:30 – 9:00 pm on the fourth Wednesday of each month. In addition all Board members are also required to serve on at least one committee. All applicants will be required to complete a Candidate Filing form and verify that they have read the NCVV By laws, which are also posted on our web site.

Filing Requirements:

* Candidate must be a stakeholder within the boundaries of the NCVV.
* Each candidate may run in only one category.
* Every candidate must complete a “Candidate Filing Form” attesting to the fact that
he/she meets the filing requirements.

* An Identification Type Verification Process will be used to certify candidates seeking office. For the Education and Cultural seats, candidates must provide documentation (in the form of a letter from the sponsoring organization) outlining in some detail their affiliation with a Valley Village or LA City based cultural or education organization. All documentation is subject to the final approval of the Chair of the Elections Committee.
The deadline for applications for these two seats is July 20 at 5:00 pm.
